Today i am thankful for

- the boredom and energy that over took me today giving me the time and energy to rearrange all my kids toys and set them up in a new way and watch the kids excitingly play with their toys again.

-the nerves and butterflies i get from a guy i like and the excitement and anticipation as to what the future may hold for me.

Day 3: Meditate on God's Word.

How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.

Day 2: Commit Yourself to Time Alone with God.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37 and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!” Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

today we are meant to create an area to spend time with God. we also need to decided on a time that we will commit to spending time with God every day..

during winter this is my space in front of the fire with music playing softly. as i struggle with the cold this will be at night after the kids are in bed.

During summer i plan on creating an area outside where i can soak up the sun. this will most likely be first thing in the morning before the kids wake up.

Day 1: Place Your Full Confidence in God.

- my amazing children who behaved so well this morning playing happily and let me sleep in...
- my awesome son who notices everything and thinks about me so much that he keeps telling me that i need a boyfriend.. its cute and always makes me smile :)

Thankfulness

i was watching the veggietales movie Madame blueberry yesterday with the kids and it reminded me that 'A Thankful Heart is a Happy Heart'.. so i am getting back into listing a few things each day that i am thankful for :D

today i am thankful for

- 2 amazing kids.
- family that are always there for me.
- being able to have a personal relationship with God and being able to talk freely about him.
- having a friendship with my ex-husband and his new girlfriend.
- the strength and energy to get up each day to enjoy more blessings :)

Becoming the woman God wants me to be...

over the next 90 days i will try my hardest to post everyday as i start a journey on becoming the woman God wants me to be!!!! this book i am studying is a brief kick start guide to becoming the woman described in Proverbs 31.

Proverbs 31: 10-31 10b A wife of noble character who can find? i look foward to this journey and can't wait to see the blessing that pour over my life and those i love as i become the woman God wants me to be :D

Recap of a hectic 4 months.. but am still going...

where to start... end of February i started a new journey or challenge of going to Uni, it has been great to do something just for me and to be known by others as me not as a mother or through someone else.. I am starting to bring back my own identity. I have surprised myself with my grades and the amount of work i have been able to put into study as well as being able to spend decent amount of time with the kids. my cake business has been doing surprisingly well considering i had decided to have a break from doing them.. I've been having on average 1 or 2 cakes a week.. maximum was about 5 cakes one weekend, 3 were wedding cakes... Kids have been up and down with basic winter sicknesses and i keep praying every day for winter to be over so we can have a break... but it is coming to the point i need to focus more on our diet and getting the kids to eat my foods that will help build their immune system up... i have been up and down with relationships. but most importantly i have begun my journey back to having a personal relationship with God. and i believe working on my relationship with God and focusing on the blessings i have been given everyday and being thankful, everything else will start to fall into place. Most of all i can see the end of this particular storm and a rainbow starting to rise. i'm looking forward to all the beauty it will bring in to my life.

Special Bond

Everyone talks about that special bond between a mother and baby. The Bond created within the first few hours of a babies life and the bond that increases with Breastfeeding. I'm finding lately that i look at my kids and wonder what i did wrong, why do i not feel that connection. what can i do to get that bond now...

Terrible Two or Three???

Why is it called the Terrible two's when Three years olds are so much worse. Bo was a great 2 year old mind you he didn't talk much. but now that hes turned 3 he has kept being a angel to everyone else but when we are home and no-one else is around he is a monster, yelling at me, not listening to anything i say, and beating up and bossing his sister around. not sure if i can last a year of this
